Basically, there are two types of Tokay geckos in the market – the wild caught and the captive bred. Wild caught Tokay geckos are those that were born in their natural habitat to their non-captive parents, and were taken into captivity while captive bred Tokay geckos are those that were born in captivity from captive bred parents this type of Tokay geckos are also known as “domestically bred geckos.” (more…)
