Tokay geckos simply love insects. Most of their diet is made of different insects. In the wild, they eat almost every bugs and insect they come across in their hunt at night, making them one of the best insectivorous hunters. However, in captivity, they cannot hunt their food and usually given mealworms and crickets. Are Pinkies Good for Your Tokays?

 Pinkies or one-day old mice have been in controversy as Tokay gecko owners are confused whether to give (and how often they should feed) or not to give pinkies to their Tokays. Feeding pinkies has both its pros and cons. If you choose to feed pinkies (one-day old mice) to your Tokay geckos, you need to do it with caution and full understanding of the risks.

SOS! My Tokay Is NOT Eating – What could be the problem?

One of the usual problems in raising Tokay geckos is their diet. It can range from a simple loss of appetite to complete anorexia or the inability or the unwillingness to eat. This can be a result of poor husbandry or a much serious condition. However, before jumping into conclusions and blaming it to diseases or other related problems, it is important to resolve these matters by first addressing husbandry issues that may be causing the eating disorder in your Tokays.
